Today our mobile show travels up and down the country and all over the West Country entertaining at weddings and private parties at some of the UK's most exclusive hotels and private homes for a whole range of functions.
As a team, my wife Christine handles all the administration issues, arranging client meetings for us both to attend and special requests along with all the lighting and special effects we use at many of our shows. She is also an excellent DJ in her own right with a wonderful flair for getting the mood of a room just perfect. Her keen eye for detail has helped countless couples achieve a stunning transformation to any venue and brought gasps of wonder from their guests. Whatever you're request may be she always gets the job done.
As a husband and wife team we are able to offer an approach that is both very personal and professional, meeting with all our clients and helping them to achieve their dreams. The relaxed way in which we handle things helps to take the pressure off of couples shoulders and allow them the enjoy the moment, knowing that we are in complete control.
I started as a DJ at the school social club at the age of 13. After leaving school I continued to DJ using a friend’s equipment until I could afford my own. At 18 in 1982 I began a job as DJ / Redcoat at Butlins Skegness for a season. I then moved to Surrey and worked the bar/club/ and mobile circuit, and many clubs and Top hotels throughout Surrey, Sussex and at top London hotels, also broadcasting a midweek show on Sovereign Radio, an all oldies station based in London.
In 1987 I took contracts in Finland, Abu Dhabi and the Philippines. Working in Manila's top clubs such as Rumours, Club Cocoon and the world famous Firehouse, for the following 2 years. My Friday night shows were broadcast live on 89.9 DWTM Manila. I also provided voiceovers for a number of radio stations IDs and commercials.
Returning to the UK in 1990 I continued with my mobile disco in and around West Sussex while also doing a request show on Radio Redhill 5 times a week. In 2006 I moved to Cornwall where I am now based. Most recently I have been the voice of Pop up radio station Liskeard FM 87.7 since its first broadcast in 2013 I have done a number of shows including a Saturday Soul Show, Afternoon Delight between 1pm and 4pm and most recently the Drive time Show Monday to Friday through Christmas 2014 and 2015.
Recently I was privileged to do a one off guest spot aboard Cunard’s Queen Mary 2 cruise liner for a private party for one of the guests onboard, the one and only time this has ever been allowed.
